About

I’m Sam, a reformed Londoner now living in Haarlem, The Netherlands. This is my personal blog. Sometimes I write things here.

By day, I write about living gluten-free at The Happy Coeliac. I’ve also published two books so far: “Gluten-free Baking at Christmas“, and “A Gluten Free Dinner Party“.

Additionally, I set up and help run a non-profit organisation called Camp Quest UK. CQUK runs secular summer camps for children aged 7-17 who are interested in science, philosophy, critical thinking and fun times. I hope to one day set up a Camp Quest in the Netherlands.

I have spoken at various groups and events about Camp Quest including QED, Leicester Secular Society,  the Cambridge Union, Oxford Think Week, Secularist of the Year (held by the National Secular Society), and internationally at Denkfest and the World Skeptics Congress.

This website represents my personal opinion only, and is not representative of Camp Quest UK or The Happy Coeliac.

Need me for something?

I would be more than happy to:

  • Speak at your event or for your group
  • Write an article for your publication or blog
  • Be interviewed regarding my work with Camp Quest UK or The Happy Coeliac

Sounds like I can help you? E-mail me.
