Ha, thought that might grab your attention. In light of the recent election results (Victory to the BNP! They’ve won two seats in the European Parliament!) I thought it might be time to get a little political.
Now I happen to believe that people are the same shitty, gullible selfish people WHEREVER in the world they are. Therefore, we are all fully capable of committing the atrocities that occurred in the Holocaust, Stalinist Russia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, whatever, under similar circumstances. It doesn’t matter that we perceive ourselves as being civilised or educated, there will always be a mass of people who are bigoted, racist, and stupid.
Which is why when a political party such as the BNP celebrate victory, however small, it is cause for concern. Oh, but it’s a rebellion against Labour! They are expressing their dissatisfaction with the government! Bullcrap. Then vote Tory, Lib Dem, Green, hell, even UKIP (as many did), but not BNP!
I fully accept that most of the people who voted BNP probably heard “stop immigration, British values” and were sold on that point. Most people don’t research who they vote for. So I have been happily trawling their website to see exactly what it is they stand for.
Immigration seems to be their core issue. Apparently us native British people will be an ETHNIC MINORITY within 60 years!!!! Oh fuck!!! But what do they mean by native British people? Erm…. yeah, exactly. There was a TV show on a while back called “How British are you?” and it basically took these racist, “pure” Brits (probably BNP supporters) and gave them a DNA test to find out their ethnic origins. When some of them found out they had genes from Africa, Asia etc, the looks on their face were priceless. I think I will watch that again.
So this is what they are going to do about it (all emphasis added for humorous effect):
To ensure that this does not happen, and that the British people retain their homeland and identity, we call for an immediate halt to all further immigration, the immediate deportation of criminal and illegal immigrants, and the introduction of a system of voluntary resettlement whereby those immigrants who are legally here will be afforded the opportunity to return to their lands of ethnic origin assisted by a [sic] generous financial incentives both for individuals and for the countries in question.
We will abolish the ‘positive discrimination’ schemes that have made white Britons second-class citizens. We will also clamp down on the flood of ‘asylum seekers’, all of whom are either bogus or can find refuge much nearer their home countries.
I don’t even need to write scathing remarks to this. They write themselves. I’d be interested to read about some of the “positive discrimination” that has directly affected them, and in what way they have been treated as second-class citizens. I wonder whether they would technically want to deport my mother, who still lives here on her Danish passport.
They also want to cut ties with Europe in favour of restoring family and trading ties with Australia, Canada and New Zealand, and to trade with the rest of the world as it suits us.
So what genius ideas do they have to fix the economy?
The BNP calls for the selective exclusion of foreign-made goods from British markets and the reduction of foreign imports. We will ensure that our manufactured goods are, wherever possible, produced in British factories, employing British workers.
And education?
We will end the practice of politically correct indoctrination in all its guises and we will restore discipline in the classroom, give authority back to teachers and put far greater emphasis on training young people in the industrial and technological skills necessary in the modern world. We will also seek to instill in our young people knowledge of and pride in the history, cultures and heritage of the native peoples of Britain.
You can bet that if you are reading this, you have been “indoctrinated” by political correctness.
And health?
We will see to it that no money is given in foreign aid while our own hospitals are short of beds and the staff to run them.
It’s the foreign policy that worries me the most:
Britain’s foreign relations should be determined by the protection of our own national interest and not by our like or dislike of other nations’ internal politics. We would have no quarrel with any nation that does not threaten British interests. We will maintain an independent foreign policy of our own, and not a spineless subservience to the USA, the ‘international community’, or any other country.
Funnily enough, I do tend to agree with them on one thing – Transport. But then again, didn’t the Nazis do wonders for Germany’s motorways?
I know they have “only” won two seats. But we need to be prepared. They are gaining legitimacy as a political party. It will only take a bit of good publicity for people – even the chattering middle classes – to be convinced that it’s ok to vote for them – and remember, our general election isn’t far off.
Personally, I’m planning to move to America. I’d get a resident’s permit by marrying one of my many friends… currently I am deciding between living in Boston with Steve or in Kentucky with Jason. Any other offers? I’d be a lovely wife – I can cook, clean, and bear you beautiful children. All you need to give me in return is somewhere to live and a weekly clothes allowance.
